8 link delivery bug

Hello,
I'm playing in a game with Eastern and Western America combined. I'm trying to make an 8 link delivery, my train is upgraded to level 8. When I get to 7/8 and try to move the cube into the destination, I get an error telling me the game is unstable. I've refreshed several times, and get that error every time I try to make the final move.

Unexpected error: Error while processing database request (reference: GS3 08/01 09:44:48)

There was a first attempt at a fix, but things didn't go as planned.
A new and improved fix was applied Jan 8 and seems to be the proper thing to do.
