The doubling cube version. Is it here? I prefer it!

I like playing backgammon with the doubling cube.
Is this available here?
I can’t seem to find it.

it would be great to be able to choose whether to play the doubling cube version. It is really a characteristic, not a secondary one, of the classic backgamon

I can't find the alpha test page either. Has it been removed?

I am by no means an expert on the "doubling cube" however I understand it to be a means to concede games during various states of completion, with a continuing risk element to be resolved during the completion of further/later games. In essence, its a meta score across many games played in sequence between two opponents.

I'm not sure there is an equivalent mechanism on BGA for keeping score between the same two players, across multiple games.

How would a Doubling Cube variant of Backgammon be proposed to work on BGA, given the present single game infrastructure?

*edit - just saw this was a revived thread from a few months ago, and someone already linked to the alpha version above*

There is a doubling cube version currently in alpha.

It is called "backgammonmatchplay" at the moment.

If any of you meet the requirements to have access to alpha testing, please help test it. I believe a certain number of testers/approvals are needed to move it out of alpha.

10 approvals are not a must-clause for public domain games: https://en.doc.boardgamearena.com/BGA_game_Lifecycle
You should contact the developer instead.
