It should be at player’s own discretion to keep record of opponent’s summoning history, either by memory or notes. Making it readily available rewards those who are not making that effort.

I totally agree with you. It rewards skilled player and it is a part of the game. I would disalow it on tournaments and on arena.

Though I would allow an optional configuration for that for the new players and less skilled players. This would be a good start for them to understand that it is important to remember the cards.
