Trader is still WEAK

Though the traders' ability is changed at the experimental adjustment, this is the weakest civ card, i think.
I've never seen that anybody choose the civ at the the beginning of the game, and if you draw this by approaching military 12, it seldom works.
This civ needs a more Adjustment, such as getting some resources at the beginning of a game.
How do you think guys?

There might be further adjustments here on BGA sometime in the future. Stonemaier is still working on a final version of the civs from the base game and first two expansions. See here:

Hi Irimias,

I've raised this as well and I think with the new adjustments they should be much better in the next update.

Agreed. To those considering adjustments, this is one where the fewer players makes it even weaker. It's particularly weak in a 2 player game (which I almost exclusively play) -- if your 1 opponent doesn't conquer (without covering up via Isolationists or Nomads), it leaves you very few options. I personally don't choose it -- ever -- and if I draw it late, tapping its power in the 5th Income typically gives either the same points to your only opponent via the income building option, or a resource -- either way, essentially useless. But of course, we quibble -- it's still the best game in the Universe, and the effort to adjust Civs makes you all legendary / our board game heroes.

I agree, the most interesting mechanic would be to allow the traders as their power when advancing Eras one trade of anything for anything in the same category between any players.

Including swapping a landmark off an opponents capital city mat, tech card or any number of resource as long as they give something in the same category back and the resource are equal in number.
