Training Mode made hostage

Post by Kaladry »

I joined a game and only after clicking accept did i notice it was Training mode. Alright, that’s fine, less stress on the results.

However the other player ends up going offline halfway through. Now I know I could quit the game and go play another without penalty but I like the satisfaction of playing a game through and I was in a really good spot where I want to at least finish the current thing I was working toward to really be satisfied. It also feels like giving in to them just going offline to get away from a potential loss and me quitting instead of them actually losing. Thoughts?

Update: the player quit the game after 1.5 hours.

Well, if you think your opponent's behavior is rude, you may give them a red thumb, or at least say that you don’t want to play with them again.

If you're sure they won’t come back, just leave the game.

If you want some other people's opinions, I personally would say that abandoning/conceding a training game is fine, but you should definitely tell your opponent why you are leaving before you do so.
