In irl game, you can see the discard

Post by dash4811 »

In the irl game, you can see and count the discards for each pile. This is important, especially towards the end, as there are only two pairs of each card combination. There needs to be a log or place you see all the played cards.

Even in the IRL game, you cannot go through the discard pile. You can only see the top card.

Here's the extract from the rulebook:
Can we look through the Easy, Medium or Hard discard piles?
No. You can see the top card of each pile, and you can try to remember which cards
have been discarded, but you may not look through them to eliminate options.
Fair remark though. We've always played by looking at the discard and we realised that rule last time we played (actually last week) as this part is in the FAQ of the rulebook.

I never understood this rule. You could just record each guessed card on a pad , I mean the game even gives you a pad to track clues on. So the game forces you to either memorize played cards or take the extra time to log more info than just look at the discard.
