It's always struggling with this faction, it's hard for me to do it well. Bad resuilt.

Me 135, Automa 124. Gaia track, then terraforming. Without PI.

edit: I have a better result down below.

Some results with eco track:

kespie 205 vs 124 Ultoma - https://boardgamearena.com/5/gaiaprojec ... =374369292 - Gaia, Eco, Terra

Similar game but one level lower, allowing the 4q+Ac opening as Jowbo found out:
kespie 216 vs 139 Automachtig - https://boardgamearena.com/8/gaiaprojec ... =377370623 - 4q+Ac opening, Gaia, Eco, Terra. Focus on round bonuses.

Me 169, Automa 124.

https://boardgamearena.com/9/gaiaprojec ... =377968550

Left academy in R1, right in R6. Without PI.

Tracks: Gaia, then economy and terraforming (I finished all 3). 39 VP through the tech tiles.

I was 1st in satellites and 2nd in buildings. 3 federations were created.

That's a beauty of the challenge and seed method – it gets players to explore new faction combinations and allows them to refine their strategies! Thank you for posting and getting me closer to being knocked out of the elite  .

:D Fuelled by latte? Thank you too for posting.

I enjoy your and Jowbo's friendly rivalry, which shows how much we can be competitive but also share ideas and still have fun.

Score lists updated.

First try 115 vs 130 Automa. Much more difficult than I anticipated. Made a few blunders. Might go back and do again before the end of the month.

Andreas G: Welcome to the solo challenge! I hope you found the win satisfying.

It is one of the tougher solo challenges, including decisions on whether or not to gaiaform, though high scores are possible. If you play it again, can I suggest not spending four ore on terraforming a planet in round 1, and instead building a research lab for, say, another step up gaia? The benefit would snowball. Good luck!

Score lists updated. Less than a week to go. Surely someone else will grab an elite spot and knock me down the lists?

It's the last day of May's solo challenge, a final chance to post scores, share your games and get into the elite. If you haven't tried it, you might find you enjoy it!

The Bal T'aks taking on the Taklons has been a less popular solo challenge than some, but kespie's chart-topping score is no less impressive for that. Well done! Congratulations to everyone who took part, including to those who posted losing scores as that's in the spirit of the challenge.
