High Scores and other extremes

Post by NaCl_duke »

Curious what high score one can get (with and without the "special" cards) with different civs?
I have seen >500 (way above my skill level) for 2 player (do not remember what civ that was). how about for 3, 4 or 5 player?
Other extremes: I managed to get 7 civilizations (Table 365086167)
Number of tech cards:?
City map points (Architects): I guess theoretical max would be 18x2 = 36?
Conquered tiles:?

Edited list below, to keep track of extremes posted by other players:

Most points, 4 player game (Historians not adjusted, March 2022): 730, (Table 248707892) , kit2361
Most points, 3 player game (Adjusted rules, April 2023): 714, (Table 368053406) , Foxydono
Most points, 2 player game (Architects): 642 (Table 329068487) , poserLX
Most Civ's for one player: 9 (Table 368053406) , Foxydono (game ran out of available Civ cards), (Table 385001630) hertztoomuch (did not win)
Most combined Civ's in 2 player game: 12 (Table 372288752) , NaCl_duke and Axxel (6 civ's each)
Most finished tech tracks: 5 (Table 368053406) , Foxydono
Most points from capital : 32 (Table 408729809) , buu441
Most tiles conquered (2 player game): 20 (Table 390836734) , NaCl_duke (I am sure there is someone who had more. Post your game and I update my list)
Highest score in a point tied game: 372 (Table 443580824) , Harry Hawkins and Grover9, Harry Hawkins won by one resource
Most (=all) space tiles acquired: 15 (Table 394351877) , sanityobscure (converted 7 of the 15 space tiles)
Highest loosing score: 437, (Table 347142597) , Mattzord, poserLX won with 466
Most trap card drawn in a row: 5, (Table 418894327) , Mattzord, had total of 6 traps
Other "extreme" ideas:
Most points, 5 player game (are there any?)
Game with a 3 way tie
All tech cards used up
Most points without getting another Civ
Most tapestry cards played
Most points with specific Civ (so far the record holders are always "Inventors")

In the earlier days, some scores of 700+ were seen, cause of people getting Historians early Age II due to Inventors. Obviously, absolutely broken.

The highest amount of Civs I ever saw was 9, but 7 is generally the amount you end on when playing Tech track with Radio.

36 for Architects is almost (if at all) impossible. Rows without income buildings don't count double, which makes it almost impossible to achieve in the first place. Then think about the double recourse bonus, which makes you place buildings less optimal for resources. If you get between 26-30 with Architects, you did really well.

I once saw Danny_Orz conquer the entire map (as far as we placed tiles) with Militants. He had like 16 territories in the end

Today I got a score of 714 in arena: https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=368053406 (with experiential adjustments and without marriage/renaissance). Other players got around 300, so it was a serious game. Inventors and more civs played a big role. Although I did get Historians, at that point there were no more landmarks left, so it was useless. In the end I had 9 civs and would of had 10, but I got a message there were no more civs.. Don't get that often. I finished tech track twice and the other tracks once and I got on T7 of my second run at science.

Most points from capital : 29 (Architects, grassland), and every district has unique buildings type = double resources every time https://boardgamearena.com/1/tapestry?table=379539811
Game might also qualify as "how lucky can you get": Renaissance (Age 2), Marriage of state (gave me extra Civ) and Trade Economy at red track 10
