Why can't I play the Rhesus Monkey Park in my zoo?

Assuming I can flip and rotate the tile, there's at least 2 places I can play it starting at the lowest hex above the size 5. The card doesn't appear to have any requirements I don't have. And sponsor is in the 5 slot. Help?

***EDIT*** My bad, missed that you were hoping to flip it. Like Jellby said, no flipping buildings in Ark Nova, just rotating.

So, it's a little unclear.

Did you attempt to click on the card? If so, what happened?

At the point of the screen shot (unless I'm missing something, I am looking at the screen shot in bright sun light, haha), you should just be able to click on the card to activate it.

You can't flip it. Special buildings can be rotated, but not flipped.So I guess you need to upgrade your build card.

Actually, standard enclosures cannot be flipped at will either, you must build them on the empty side. But it doesn't matter, because they are symmetric.

Thank you. I figured it was something I was missing. I've never noticed the special buildings aren't dual sided.

I'm not sure I'm understanding this correctly but you don't need to have flipped (upgraded) your Buildings Action card to place a building from a sponsor's card unless it's shown as a requirement at the top left and the rhesus monkey park doesn't have that requirement.

As you say it does seem that you have the required space on the map and are able to place it adjacent to at least one hex of a previous building.

It does seem that you can play it as it's in colour, just click on it, then the Park tile will appear at the top and drag it to where you want it, using the arrows to revolve it and plce it exactly where you want to place it.

Right. With the screenshot situation, he needs an upgraded build card to place the building because of the restricted spots. He could also build something else, and then there would be other options to place the building adjacent to that without covering the spots that required an upgraded build card.

(And it's not in color, it's the same "color" as Okapi Stable or Foreign Institute, which are obviously disabled because they required strength 6.)

Good point, as you say without the Build Card upgraded, then there is nowhere to place it.
