Turn based buying

How does buying work in a turn based game? I submitted my wishlist and the game log indicates that I wanted to buy the card, but I didn’t get notified that it was available and I didn’t get to buy it automatically.

Do you have the log?

Are you sure your wishlist was set up properly?

If it becomes your turn when the card is discarded you are unable to buy it.

So I don’t really get what happened. Could I have been alerted between 7:27 and 7:36 but missed the notification? I feel like I was online so I’m just confused.
