"Skip turns" does not do that at all.

Post by stevage »

When a player runs out of time, there is a button that is meant to allow "skipping turns" of the player out of time.

But actually what it happens is it gives the option to expel them. That's not the same thing.

A player just used this on me. They kept pushing the button which made it hard to play (there's a red warning message which actually covers the "confirm tile" button, so it takes even longer to play each move). Then they clicked the button to expel me, with 0 tiles remaining.

It says:

> Your thinking time has expired and all your turns will be skipped.

But also:

> Player stevage was out of time (or quit this game) and lost this game (at 95% of the game progression).

In the log it says:

> stevage is out of time, so barnes23 skips their turn

> stevage has quit the game and is going to lose this game whatever happens.

At the time I had 145 points, and my opponent had 113. I don't know for sure, but I suspect even my turns had been "skipped" I would have still won.

All in all it's a pretty crappy situation. But why does it say turns will be "skipped" when actually that isn't what happens at all?
