Free Trade Association end game points

Post by ThreeTrees »

I don't mind getting more points, but I'm wondering why I got 11 points from the Free Trade Association development instead of 10.

1 VP for every 3 VP tokens you have (rounded down) -> 25 VP, so 8 more points?
1 VP for each settled Windfall or Production colony that can produce Novelty Goods -> Alien Oort Cloud Refinery and Novelty Peddlars, so 2 more points?

8+2=10

Not sure what you mean. The endgame scoring table shows that you got 10 points from that tech

It shows "Score from large developments: 18 / 10 / 10 / 0" in the main table, but higher up the results page it shows "Score from Free Trade Association
11" so it's not even consistent. It's not the only bug in the statistics: I once filed a report that there it claimed more "Settle" actions than rounds played.

I didn't even notice that button up there for "score table". I just mouseover the development itself, and it says "worth 11 VP in your empire".

Thanks, I'll look for it in the Bugs forum. But what do you mean by "higher up the results page" ? I don't see that. Is it something for Premium members?

Looks like the same problem as this bug:

https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=47114

Unfortunately, it's labeled as "Fixed". :(

Yes, there are a lot of statistics in the post-game "Game results" tab which are only visible to premium members.

The game replay breaks in interesting ways, but I've just realised that the stats are visible directly on the table page without having to replay the game to the end. Here's a screenshot with red circles around the interesting bits which you can include in a bug report if you choose to file one: https://cheddarmonk.org/forumimg/bga434496042.png

(There also seems to be another bug with the stats: with 9 rounds and 4 players there are 36 actions, unless I'm missing some rule which allows you to take multiple actions in a round, but 6+5+9+6+6+4+4=40 so I suspect it was actually 10 rounds).
