OK, here's a specific question: Are you implying people didn't answer your question? And, if that's the case: What is your question? There is no question in the first post.

I think they meant this one.

And the answer to the question is: "Yes you can... in some rare cases". (some specific cases where you can do it were presented in the thread)
In other words the answer is: "No you can't... except for some rare cases".
Pick the wording that you like better ;)

However is it still good general advice to say to not bluff out multi when someone does it with a color clue without bluff being revealed through context? Yes, it's good advice. Would be good to also say there are exceptions of course. But maybe it's good to first learn the rule and after that learn the exceptions.

Was it good advice in the situation that you encountered? We don't know - we were never shown the game, so we really can't say - that's why the discussion went into obscure cases which we might or might not have needed in your specific case. But again: you never showed the game, so what did you expect?

The many "ifs" are needed because Hanabi is not a simple game. In order to make a good decision, you have take many things into account. To put that into words, we put those "things" into if-clauses.

Your question was not as easy or basic as you thought. If you want a simple answer, you need to word your question more precise.

a) "Are there any cases where you can bluff out a multi with a color clue without the clue-receiver playing the card?" --> simple answer: yes
b) "Is it always possible to bluff out a multi with a color clue without the clue-receiver playing the card?" --> simple answer: no

Are those simple answers helpful? I don't think so ;)

People who responded here were not sure if your simpler wording of the question was actually meant as a) or b) and therefore they don't know whether to say yes or no. So the responses were all "it depends" combined with an explanation what it depends on.
