Classification should reveal hand

Post by gozik »

Hi, it seems inconsistent that some cards that require specific condition on cards in hand reveal hand (like Oars) and Classification does not.

It prescribes to meld all cards of the same color from hand, so opponent should have a look on the rest of cards to verify that all cards of the color were played.

Is that right? Should classification reveal hand after its dogma?

Yes, this needs fixed to be consistent. Micah, right now, it reveals the opponent's hand to make sure they transferred all cards, but it does not reveal the hand of the person who just followed the classification dogma (the one who just melded however many cards). This is particularly relevant when initiating classification when sharing, especially with cities. The other player will take all your cards of one color, but then because they have to meld all of that color, they should have to reveal their hand, allowing you to choose 1-2 colors (endorsed with city) according to what they have in their hand.

Okay. Can you please file a bug within the game so that it's properly tracked?

On a similar note, I think the way watermill works would need a tweak (after tucking the first card with a bonus). Right now, it doesn't reveal the card that you drew, but automatically ends your turn if it doesn't have a bonus. Not sure which way it should go (whether you should have to reveal it or not), but it should either pause for you to pass, so as not to give that info to your opponent, or it should always be revealed to indicate whether you are allowed to return a card to tuck it or not.
