How did my opponent know what my Candidate is?

How did my opponent know what my Candidate is?

I asked them, and they said nothing. Are they cheating? (Eg. tracking the swaps at the start of game.)

I'm not sure how tracking swaps would help, unless you only make one swap and they assume the mask moved from the front row to the back is the candidate. It wasn't the case this time. My assumption is that they figured out the last mask you moved was a lady so anything behind it was almost certainly not a lady and decided to capture.

It wasn’t luck. Good players figure out which pieces to attack and u should never expose your king on a row where the opposing front piece hasn’t moved diagonally when the long range piece hasn’t been exposed.
