Hardback Strategy Compendium

Post by ufm »

I started playing Hardback on BoardGameArena months ago, and grew fond of it soon.
I went to great lengths to analyze every element in the game, hone the skills, and master the craft.
Even though there were hard times on BGA's genuine Hardback players lately, I managed to pack everything I discovered in an article on BGG.
This is quite lengthy, so be prepared 😉
I have uploaded this article also on GoogleDocs for better readability.

Very great strategy guide! I agree with everything in there. Anybody who wants to become a very strong player needs to read this.

This is an incredibly helpful, insightful guide and reference, ufm. A big thank you from me, and I strongly suggest that mods pin this to the Hardback forum, if that's possible. On the BGG forum, the creator & publisher of Hardback, said of ufm's guide:
I'm speechless - just incredible all the depths you've found in the game that Jeff and I didn't know were there.🤯
And I think that praise is well-deserved!

I will be encouraging new players to read it.

Impressive article.
So the idea is to focus on getting coins to buy the higher priced cards.
At what point does the focus go on getting more points than coins?
Or is it depending on the cards you have in your hand.
