As I understand it, the BGA implementation is just the base game, per publisher request. I think the base game includes this basic solo mode available here. The chronobot is a later extension, and as such is not implemented.

Thanks for that information. When I read the vanilla game rulebook I couldn't find reference to a solo mode, so there may really not be a genuine solo mode here! (Or I was reading the wrong edition or something.)
