Bonus Temple Research

This UI is making me get expelled on the last round.

How do you do the bonus research once you get to the top of the research track? I can't figure out how to take the 12pt/6pt tiles on top of the research track since clicking the actual tile doesn't work. There's no free play mode to mess around with the components either to figure it out myself, and I just keep getting expelled for running out of time before I can figure it out in live-play. Now I have to post on a dumb forum like it's the year 2000.

The way the bonus temple research works is that to gain a tile from the level above the next level you have to be able to pay the research requirement of it as well as the nearest one, in other words the research costs accumulate.

To get a higher level tile than the one directly above where your Magnifying Glass came to rest on the board, you will need to have ALL the resources ready to pay at the same time, in one go, for whichever level of bonus tile you click on.
