Red is really good. It can both aggro and also control with Confront.

I have played Battle Spirits TCG in JP.
Red and yellow decks are strong. White appears strong because it is less difficult to play, but if red or yellow plays precisely, white is probably at a disadvantage.

Red is very powerful, spirits with high reduction gives the deck very flexible turns where you can play aggressively or reduce your opponent's resources. Very forgiving.

Yellow can hold a lot of resource but the combos are a little bit weak.

White is unbeatable when they draw into Fanatech Elk, starts off slow but if you manage to stabilize the game will be very hard for the opponent. Shoutouts to dream bomb being one of the most powerful magic even after BSS04.

Purple is tricky, find the timing to use certain cards and force good trades. The starter deck does not have a big flashy combo similar to yellow but you can overwhelm your opponent with skullfly/demobone and other low summon cost spirits.

Green is very powerful, between Branboar and Gale Phoenix your key spirits can win games alone. Core boost and Swift used together alongside needleshot has really good synergy.

Blue if given enough turns will become very difficult to beat, Honorable Duel with Fort Golem combo should not be underestimated.

Red comes in handy indeed. I just found it can rarely do damage to blue. Blue has many spirits above 3k & cost destruction, which counters red in a way.
Green's mvp is definietly branboar while gale phoenix may depend on different situations
Purple is fun but setup takes time & the combos aren't strong enough sometimes.
White mirror battle is a nightmare :D
