How to avoid family version.

How must I complete the settings to be sure I will not play the familiar version (no occupations or minor improvements)?

Use manual mode

Competitive level is the important setting.
Beginner will have family mode.
Normal uses all cards from selected sets.
Competitive/Banlist will use all cards from selected sets, minus those the community decided we didn't want to play with.

I would recommend playing with the banlist, for what it's worth, as the community is fairly lenient on what gets banned, so the banned cards are mostly very egregious and game breaking.
