Game luck factor rated one ?

I was a bit shocked when I learned that GOLDblivion has only a rating of 1 for luck. Meaning almost no luck?!

I mean drawing cards for battles, for river and for development phase involves a good amount of randomness right ? You can mitigate some bad luck in those drawings in some ways for sure but if you’re unlucky and your opponent is in the 3 first rounds, it snowballs quickly.

What would be your rating of luck for this game? For me, this is a solid 2.5, maybe a 3.

I don't know other game luck ratings.

But among games I play, Ark Nova also gets 1 for luck.
And similarly, your starting hand vs cards you draw vs when specific cards hit the river.....

I'm ok they are the same. Agreed that it could be 2 maybe.

Ark Nova is a good comparison indeed, at equals strength between opponents, the only thing that will make a difference is that, luck.
While that’s true, there won’t be swingy things happening through a game due to pure luck between people having different perspectives of what is good to pick or do in a game at a specific round. Knowing what to do in proper rounds doesn’t rely on luck. But still, GOLD is not Chess nor Terra Mystica. Knowing how to mitigate bad luck doesn’t mean you will end up winning, lucky weaker opponents will win, which is why I consider it at least a 2 rating for luck.
