Is there an option to turn off/revert the new layout display?

Is there a way to turn off the new layout display that arrived in the last few days? I'm finding it frustrating not being able to simultaneously see the full size tiles in my hand about to be played /and those I have moved to about to be discarded simultaneously. I make my words by shuffling tiles between the two so suddenly only being able to see a mini size hand vs table is driving me mad. It also becomes eye strainingly small on a mobile. I need to be able to see the values/scores of tiles not in play as well as those on the table. Suddenly having to click on the box to reveal the tiles in my hand now means it covers up those in play, whereas before I could see both simultaneously.

I can see why some people might say they like to see all the tile information on one screen without flicking between tabs but I find this new layout much worse to use. The number of times i want to see such bulk overview is far lower than the number of times I want to shuffle my tiles as i construct words (i.e. EVERY TURN).

Please can we have a way to revert to the old layout?

I agree with KenFin . . .

I don't think that the new format is an improvement . . . where you can see . . . only the cards in your Hand . . . OR . . . only the cards in your Word . . . OR . . . only the cards in your Draw Pile . . . OR . . . only the cards in your Discard Pile.

I watched new players struggle with the difference between "hand" and "word", so my goal was to eliminate having two areas where you can manipulate the cards.

Simultaneously, showing the letters without needing to click saves me a lot of time. The thing I need to know is what colors or what letters in likely to draw next, which the mini cards do for me perfectly well.

Anyway I think the change here can be to show the draw/hand/discard full-size above your word when you click the button (so can be 2 rows of visible cards, but not by default).

Please take a look at how this works in version 240818-0050. Clicking the button you view your draw/hand/discard now shows the full-size cards in a separate area, above your word.

I understand from a previous post that this will not be the default . . . will it be offered as an option in set-up ?
Hardback has recently become one of my favourite games here at BGA.
My favourite game to play at home on the table is Paperback . . . also by Tim Fowers . . . we play in co-op mode.

If you want to view the full-size cards in your draw/hand/discard, just click the eyeball icon under the appropriate section. That view will remain open until you close it. (There's no need for any game option; this is always available.)

I still believe the need to see the full-size view of your draw/hand/discard at all times is the exception rather than the norm. For example, if you have both adventure yellow Gs or both red romance Rs, you might want the full-size cards view to differentiate which of these is in your draw pile. In general, I expect the mini cards that tell "there's a blue G in my hand" or "two of the four in my draw pile are blue" is enough for most use cases of building words, deciding to use ink, deciding to trash, etc.

After choosing "Open Hands" . . . not only do you get to view your full size cards in Draw, Hand and Discard . . . you also get to view the mini cards showing your opponents' cards in their Draw, Hand and Discard . . . and . . . these mini cards are visible all the time . . . no matter who's turn it is.
Is that what you intended . . . ?
I prefer the previous layout display . . . so . . . as the OP asked . . . is there an option to turn off/revert the new layout display?

Yes it's exactly as intended. Turn off open hands option if you don't want to see other players cards and vice versa.

You'll always be able to see your own cards regardless of this option.
