I had a flush in my crib and scored 0

Am I missing something? The 4 cards in my crib were all the same suit (the top card was a different suit). My understanding is I should have scored 4 points?

Crib flushes must be all 5 cards to count.

that is a cribbage rule i have never really understood. it is relatively difficult to get a flush in the crib to begin with because you can control what cards you put in opponent crib. we house ruled flushes in cribs count.
