What are the rules in case of a tie?

Yesterday me and my opponent both had 29 points, but I lost nonetheless. I can’t find anything in the rules on this. Does anyone know how it works if there’s a tie? Thanks !

You didn't lose, you were tied to the first place wth the other player (there si no tiebreaker on this game)

This just happened in a game I ended today, but I finished with four ladybugs, and they had less; I feel like the win should have gone to me for collecting more ladybugs.

There is no such thing in the rulebook.
