I am relatively new to the game and misunderstood a card twice already. I wondered why I didn't gain vp from a card, but when I realized what was wrong, I couldn't go back. This is really frustrating and so I wondered, if there was a reason, why viticulture has no undo option. There should be negative effects only for the person undoing and not for other players or am I missing something?
Why no undo?

Re: Why no undo?
Agree there should be an undo. Apparently sometimes when scrolling the screen on my phone, my finger brushes over the 1 coin location: it immediately changes my meeples position and if I don’t catch it, I just wasted a turn I can’t undo.
Re: Why no undo?
For solo I would agree but not for multiplayer games. A card layed is a card played in multiplayer.

Re: Why no undo?
@Hail_TX yes but we're not in real life! In real life, we wouldn't have used a card we didn't want to play!
Re: Why no undo?
This just killed me in a tournament game. I miss-clicked and now my game is ruined. Wingspan has a great implementation of an undo button. You can undo back to the last "random" thing that happened, like a card reveal or dice roll. It even shows you in the turn history how far back you can undo.
Re: Why no undo?
As long as you have not revealed any information, I think Undo should be available. (Up to confirming your move.)
When playing an unfamiliar game it is very helpful as you may not be able to see all consequences of your plays.
I also speed up play (really) as you do not have to think through everything before making a play.
I most of the time play turn-order (async) so I see little problems by having Undo.
So my take on this is that lack of Undo is often a sign of sub-par implementation.
Re: Why no undo?
I would also upvote a better undo for this game. Best wishes.

Re: Why no undo?
Agree, I like the way Ark Nova does it where you can undo your turn until the point that you did something like draw a card that obviously can't be reversed. I recently messed a game up when I realized I was making wines for the wrong order, and even though I hadn't completed making both wines, it wouldn't let me cancel my turn and start over. That kind of thing is just so frustrating.
I also once accidentally passed at the beginning of winter thinking it was still summer. which put me behind that that game a considerable amount. A lot of games will ask you to confirm actions like passing in winter when you still have workers when it's something players so rarely will do purposely. It's not hard to make a mistake like this in turn-based games if you mistake one game for another.

Re: Why no undo?
Agreed, we should have undo up to actions you cannot go back to (such as drawing a card, revealing any hidden information (if you reveal your own card, but then want to undo, that's fine, that's your own information you are giving away)) etc. Best wishes.

Re: Why no undo?
Aggh it just happened to me again! Once again it was in the middle of my turn on a card play and would have made no impact to anyone else to reverse and fix the mistake. I like this game a lot but this is annoying enough for me to choose others over it, when it keeps blowing up my game.
