All the 'perfect couple' scores (13+)

Post by Stuff by Bez »

Due to the nature of a co-op wordgame, a normal leaderboard become fraught with issues.

But I thought it'd be fun to highlight the best-scoring games:

Italian high scores:

I think that these are all the 13+ scores, which means that this is in the top 0.6% of games and all these games are super-impressive with some amazing words made. Well worth having a look at if you want to see how to play well.

I've seen a 'brilliant' score in Italian but not in German/Spanish yet. It was pointed out to me that German might have a lot more difficulty than English/French, given that the middle of a verb is usually changed when it is lengthened.

Also, if I were to be kinder to German speakers, I'd maybe want 3 Cs, reduce L to 4 letters, and then have 5 Us.

8-)
Congrats! You and Mariellaaaa have done PHENOMENALLY with SIX 'incredible' games since I last had a proper look!

I hope you keep enjoying the game! :-)

I had a look on Wikipedia's letter frequency chart and you're right - W has a frequency of 0.033%, and X is 0.003%.

By contrast, the last common letter in English is Z, with a frequency of 0.074%.

Maybe one day in the future, if the ELL deck becomes a MUCH bigger thing, I'd do custom versions for other languages. But in the meantime, I guess at least you can use the top letters. :-)

Sorry I only just saw this comment!

Many congrats on equalising on 14, and I love that your partner's final word was 'final'!

I have an online shop that I need to add photos to before launch it, but I can send you a link if you're willing to be a guineau pig. :-p
