This post was not made to discuss the elo system, this is getting off topic.

I'd suggest you move to one of the existing elo discussion posts if you want to continue this conversation, or start a new post of your own.

In fact, BGA co-op and solitaire games consider positive scores wins and 0 or negatives losses.
However, BGA The Crews scoring system assigns all games 1 point at the end screen regardless of the actual result.
Thus, in BGA The Crews, you get wins and ratings from immediate loss and quit as well, like the link I posted:

Huh, tried it myself and I stand corrected.
Been very certain yet very wrong for a long time then, unless it was changed at some point.

However, your example link isn't much of a proof, it's training mode for starters, so no elo involved anyways. And the point you seem to refer to is the star, which signifies in game points. That's not the same as getting a win, let alone gaining elo.

It's been like this since the beginning.

I intentionally chose training mode to not get rating and trophies from this.
Changing the game mode to the normal mode does not change any in-game elements.
Go ahead and try this in normal mode with someone else, then check the number of victories and rating value.

YMMV, but the number of moderation reports and bug reports says otherwise.

The sample size of those submitting bug reports and moderation reports is very limited. To find what the general population wants, you’d need to sample those players not in the forum. Regardless, I agree that a continuous rising of ELO statistically does not engage the player. There needs to be rewards and losses. And yes, the dopamine hit is increased for a “win” but it needs to feel authentic.

Actually this tendency was the same in everywhere, including the forum. For example:

Artificial ELO simulation in co-op is now deprecated. Developers don't adopt artificial ELO anymore.
Among all co-ops on BGA, only 2 games are still using it, and all games got rid of it haven't received complaints related to rating since then.

I don't want to derail the thread further.
