How do we unlock higher difficulties in Yokai?

When I start a new game I can choose Level 1 or Level 2 for difficulty.
The rules say that there are 5 levels of difficulty. Is this true?
My friend and I are ELO 116, and we have won three games at level 2.
If we keep playing will we be allowed Level 3, or is 1 and 2 the only levels available?

You can't, only level 1&2 exist.

I suppose we can just choose to follow Level 3 or 5 if we want.
