Black & Red identical to Colourblind person

Post by IanB »

Great game - but if it selects red and black cards they are identical to me - and the symbol that differentiates them is far too small.

i made a report, but it was rejected https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=132769
Contrast is better on the physical product, but the BGA implementation is unplayable for me

On a side note, that “Developers think that it is not a good idea or that the cost/benefit ratio is too high” reason is by far my biggest gripe about BGA. I hate it.

I'm happy to share that we've made an update that I hope will address the issue! After speaking with some players, it seems the red and brown colors were causing the most difficulty. To help with this:

- In 2-player games, the Red and Black colors will no longer be dealt together.
- Extra dots have been added to the icons on the red cards. Please note, this is a temporary fix, and the publisher plans to release a more colorblind-friendly version in the future.

I hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to post on the linked thread if you encounter any issues:

Thanks for being so responsive to concerns. Some other games on BGA, it seems like they are very dismissive of ideas which is frustrating at times. The implementation of the game is great and has quickly become one of my favorites. Hope you decide to develop more games on here. Great job with your first one.

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the game. Hearing this kind of feedback is incredibly encouraging. I’m definitely planning to bring more games to BGA in the future, and I hope you’ll enjoy those too!
