Go Down help!

Post by Niiiice1 »

HI all Please can you help? Me and another have decided to try the Liverpool Rummy game, but we're just not clear about what we need when trying to Go Down.

In the picture, I believe I have the two runs of 4 cards and the set of three. I'm not clear about the joker card though in this scenario.

Please can anyone explain in simple terms what we need to do to for the Go Down function to work?

If I'm honest, I don't think the rules explanation is that clear, but I'll apologise in advance if I've missed something that's simple!

Thanks for the help....

You can't use the For Joker part on opening. It's reserved to replacing jokers on board.

This question is quite old but I will answer it in case others have a similar question.

The hand shown in the picture is indeed enough to go down for the given hand (1 set and 2 runs). However, the King of Spades is not necessary. You should remove it in this situation in order to go down.

The CARD FOR JOKER area is to be used in this way:

The picture doesn't show the board, but if there was a joker which could be substituted for the King of Spades then you could go down in this way:

1) Put only 2 sevens into PREP C (not 3)
2) Put the other cards into the PREP A and PREP B areas like you did
3) Put the King of Spades into the CARD FOR JOKER prep area like you did
3) On the board, select the Joker which can properly be replaced by a King of Spades
4) Click GO DOWN
5) The game would then replace the joker with the king and put the joker in with the 2 sevens onto the board as the set; You have gone down.

Instead of 2 sevens, you could put in a PREP area 3 of 4 cards necessary for a run and the game would allow you to go down, substituting the joker-King and putting the joker in with the 3 card run, making a valid 4 card run.
