Can't win for the Germany

Post by Amigoalex »

Really, it's very difficult task to win against experienced player.(don't tlak about newbies)

You have to be very lucky, for example, get a card "move tank and infantry together, then begin the battle".
I also noticed that Germany gets too few points. Germany could give 2 points for Berlin instead of one. Moscow is cost 2 points.

I played for Germany a lot, and even conquered some part of the USSR (south or north), but not completely, and the USSR reborned
Then he still won on points. Especially since he has a lot of cards for 1944, to get points.

The idea is interesting, it looks like a real history, but there are dsibalance.

If you don't destroy USSR by the spring of 1942, you lose.

Games: 24
Wins/Lose 17:7
USSR: 14:1
Germany 3:6

I don't agree.
Try to play vs the 1st ranked player on BGA, you will lose as Axis, as Allies, with or without luck :geek:

PS: Historicaly, winter is bad for Axis, so yes, it is better to win with a blitzgrieg like in France.
Soviet human waves are "unlimited" (21 millions of dead).

I agree, the game is not well balanced, but it is still fun to play.

The issue is the game only becomes more difficult for Axis so, if you don't get a hold of the situation (meaning at least 2 star locations) by end of 1941 then the Soviet can just sit tight, reinforce and keep the advantage whilst you will still try to advance at a big cost.

I think Axis could benefit with a larger hand size given the fact that the cards are split between 2 factions and that it needs to be more reactive and to apply pressure in different areas at different time. The Soviet just needs to have cards to react and put units on the board and that's all they need to worry about.

I won games as Allies even with players that literally trashed me when I was playing Axis against them (ELO 400 or more).

Some told me they have never been defeated as Allies.

If I have some time, I will try to add two new statistics :

- Victory as allied
- Victory as Axis

So we will check win rates.
