Krosmaster Arena

We are happy to introduce today Krosmaster Arena, the board game published by Ankama based on their Dofus and Wakfu universes.

Krosmaster Arena is a battle between 2 players. You start by selecting the Krosmasters that will be part of your team, and then the fight begins in the Arena.

Each krosmaster, represented by a card, is gifted with its own characteristics (movement points, health points, action points, ...), and its specific spells. On your turn, you play your masters one by one, moving them and using action points to cast spells and attack your opponent's masters.

Krosmaster is a unique mix of tactical player-vs-player fight game and collectible cards game, since every krosmaster has unique special spells with specific powers that you have to use wisely to KO your opponent's krosmaster. To win a game, you will have to choose your team members carefully and combine their powers in the most effective way.

Krosmaster Arena is a game designed for tournaments, and already has a huge community of players and its own framework of real life competitions. Like for similar games of this category, you'll probably lose your first games since this game has way more subtleties that you can imagine at first glance, and because you will need to acquire a little experience before building an effective team at the beginning of the game.

If you don't know this game yet, we recommend you to try it out as soon as possible! If you are already familiar with the game, please read the following as there are some important things to know:

At first, you may know that there is an existing online adaptation of Krosmaster Arena. We are explaining here why this new adaptation is so different of the previous one and why BGA and Ankama wanted to build this new adaptation.

Then, as you know, Krosmaster is a collectible figurines+card game, which makes it a little bit specific. About this, here are three important things to know about this adaptation on BGA:
_ For now, all the Krosmasters can be accessed and played for free (base game + Seasons 4 and 5). Take advantage of this and enjoy it!
_ In the future, some Kromasters will be free and some will be part of the BGA Premium membership. It means that if you become a BGA Premium member you'll be able to access the whole set of all Krosmasters.
_ If you have bought a Krosmaster figurine on the previous online adaptation of the game, this figurine will be accessible for you on BGA, forever, as long as your BGA account has the same email than your Ankama's account (even if you choose to not become a BGA Premium member).

Finally: this is only the very beginning about Krosmaster Arena on BGA. For now, only the base game + Seasons 4 and 5 are available, but our goal is of course to have all the sets needed to allow you to train for competitions, and to organize online competitions for Krosmaster. Please remember that our adaptation is still in Beta, and we will need a little time to continue to improve it and to fix bugs: with your help&feedback we're pretty sure you'll get the adaptation you need to enjoy Krosmaster Arena at its best!

Important announcement: Season 3 is coming to BGA around mid-June. Stay tuned!

Enjoy!

The subject of this news is Krosmaster Arena.

However, feel free to contact the publishers of the game you want to see on BGA to tell them how cool we are so they can give us their authorization to do it.

This is not planned (as far as I know, all online adaptations of this game was supporting 2 players mode only).

Okay, I'm just reading the rule-book for the first time, and saw that as an official option. :)

ALSO: The rules seems to indicate three different ways to pick characters, and none of those are how this implementation picks characters?

Like: the rules say draft gives each player the choice from two guys at a time until each player has a full team, but 'draft' option here lets each player pick from anyone in the whole roster? Why the change?
