New Maps

Post by Idsky »

Who's tried the new maps?
What do you think of them?
There are currently 19 new maps that I made, not counting the 2 official 'new' maps that were in the original Quantum rules but were too big to include previously.

Feedback welcome. I can easily adjust them.

What's your favourite?

Have an idea for a new map? If it's a better idea than my 'Bifurcation' map and sufficiently different from everything else, I can add it in! I think I've nearly exhausted the possibilities!
(I like the idea for Bifurcation but I think it's too hard to get all your cubes down and easy to get stuck. I may try adding more planets or reducing the cube count but it is likely to get deleted!)

Maps can be made up from any combination of:
8x '7' planets (1 cube space)
8x '8' planets (2 cube spaces)
4x '9' planets (3 cube spaces)
4x '10' planets (4 cube spaces)
1x Void tile

Minimum number of cube spaces: If every player places all-but-one cubes, there needs to be at least one cube space left to avoid a stalemate.
(<number of players> × (<number of cubes each> – 1)) + 1
e.g. for a 3p 6-cube map, there needs to be at least (3×5+1) spaces… so 16 or more cube spaces will work.
