It was addressed to already and the rules here follow the essential edition, which allows more than 25 points, even if the board doesn’t show more

25-point max was only used with the original out-of-box game using no expansions. Per the Tuscany and Essential rules, any time you use at least one expansion you remove the point max. I believe the essential edition uses 2-3 of the expansions (fields, mamas & papas, and I *think* updated visitor cards), and therefore the point max is not used.
