Not even a beta test or preview feedback? Just switched with no notice at all?
I did like the more orderly layout of buildings by quarry
Other than that you cant even tell what plantations they are
And "hovering" doesnt exist on touchsceen devices
Pieces were fine with simple and clear color coding
I hope this can be remedied soon! Game is unplayable now

I made before/after screenshots to compare both styles and didn't think that there was a such a huge readability difference. But of course there are habits to take into account.

So I have added an in-game preference for getting back to the old style for (non-expansion) buildings/plantations.



For the new style, I'll also rework the plantation graphics to include more border color into them so it's easier to sort them out.

About the new style: since we implemented the expansions, we took the opportunity to use the beautiful artwork of the most up to date edition of the game. Most notably, images have now a better resolution and you can zoom without pieces getting all blurry. This should be an improvement, and if you take the opportunity to zoom and take a close look at the new graphics, you'll see that they are actually really nice

Other than images, the design hasn't changed much; but if you find out some other readability/UI problem, please describe them in detail (with screenshot please) and we'll see what we can do to improve the design.

It was clear the new artwork was meant as an upgrade, just hard to see in smaller icon version so maybe simolify small icons and leave larger ones in detail?

Je viens de jouer à puerto, je regrette fortement l'ancienne interface. Je suis français et les cartes sont mêmes pas traduits dans ma langue !!! Je suis désolé on est pas tous anglophone!!
J'adore ce jeu mais ce changement me perturbe et n'apporte rien de plus!

I reworked the images from another source for the new UI. Now buildings have a crisper image, and plantations have more color. Hope it's better, let me know!

Tu peux choisir d'afficher les anciennes tuiles (c'est une option accessible à partir de l'espèce de molette qui se trouve en haut et à droite de la fenêtre). Par contre, je crois que ça ne vaut que pour les tuiles de base, pas pour les tuiles d'extension.

With the expansions being added, the style of the new buildings graphics were different from the old, so it seemed better to upgrade everything to match the last boxed edition style. I hope that the last graphic adjustments make everything at least as good as before.

I also just upgraded the boats and trading house images to complete the new style. Hope you like them! (if not, well the in-game preference for the old style is available for you )
