The whole point of ELO is that you can play against players of similar skill. But now that I'm in the top 20, no one else in the top 20, NO ONE, is playing other real players.
So, I'm not going to play any more players either. I'll just play the robot once every two months and keep my top position like everyone else.

Thank you for calculating this. I knew that people were playing against the BGA Robot, but I didn't know it was THAT bad.
Players are taking advantage of the Robot, which is unsportsmanlike and unfair. It's a shame that people care so much about arbitrary rankings that they'll only play a beginner robot so they can stay in the Top 20. Absolutely pathetic. Can't Stop is a game that's largely luck-based - without the robot, I doubt anyone would reach Master level.
I really wish the mods would do something about this. Not only should they automatically turn ELO off for games involving the robot, but they should make it so that only beginners can use it. That's the original purpose of it, anyway.

one way to solve this ? have an ELO cost to playing the BGA Robot .. say 5 ELO ?
that way non.beginners who play and win against the Bot will gain back 1 or 2 ELO for a net loss.
those still learning the game .. if they win against the Robot .. they will gain back more than the 5 ELO cost, but eventually they will also run into a break-even situation.
still the issue of how to clear out the players who are currently on the Can't Stop leaderboard (might mostly resolve itself after 60 days ?), but at least this would stop further abuse of the Bot.

I was thinking that very thing. Turning it off is so much easier, and if it's just for learning purposes, why would it even need to be on?
