I didn't realize that I can rotate my tiles the first time I played Carcassonne! It made for a very funny looking tile game and a big loss! lol

These weren't funny at the time, but might be funny to read about.
(From https://www.reddit.com/r/boardgames/com ... g/cn7zcix/ )

===
Trans Europa - Player put his starting station as far from any city as he could then built tracks round and round in a
tight spiral the whole game never connecting to any city and making no effort to connect to any other players route.

Resistance - With score two vs two going into the fifth mission, a spy gets voted onto the
mission (and is the only spy on the mission) and puts in a pass card. Resistance wins.

Bohnanza - No trades offered or accepted for any reason ever. On turn, played the first bean of their stack,
flipped two beans from the middle and planted them both. Gifted beans were also rejected.

Ticket to Ride - Only ever drawing train cards and not once ever building routs. Game 'crashed' when
player has the entire draw pile in their hand and no other player was able to draw train cards.

Battlestar Galactica - Admiral nukes civilian chips. Other players vote to toss admiral out the airlock only to discover the admiral was human.

Bang! - Deputy kills sheriff.

Dixit - Game clues such as "The sky visible in the background" or "red". Every submitted card is a perfect match and voting is essentially random.
===

(Regarding Ticket to Ride: the game has not actually crashed yet in that situation. The other players would have to draw
new tickets, as that is their only possible action, and so would the troll if they wanted to avoid making cards available.
Eventually, the troll will only have available the action of claiming routes, which will free up some cards for the next
player to draw, and perhaps even the next 2 players and so on once the shortest routes are all taken. The game does
become terrible, of course. There will also be turns on which a player has no available action, and perhaps one could
say that the game crashes then, as the rules (understandably) do not address that situation.)

I was playing Codenames. My girlfriend (now wife) and I were on a team together. She gave me the clue, "Us, 3."

I chose "Bond."

It was wrong.... </3

I don't know how to play Codenames, but maybe "Us, 3" was supposed to be her way of proposing marriage and a baby to you!

Table # #666269143, "Tactile" (turn-based)
At one point my opponent was just ONE tile away from victory while one of my pieces had just barely got out of my home tile. (0:1 at this point)

Eventually I won 2:1 --- I had eleven cards while my opponent had only four.

Table #671793834 (Flip 7)

An opponent froze me during his first turn, but immediately after that he drew two twos and busted.

Just one

Two players wrote "cumulonimbus". In my opinion that word is very rare indeed, because English is not my first language.
