Really? If it happened, it was a mistake on our part. On the contrary, high quality bug reports are encouraged. It doesn't mean that we'll be able to fix everything immediately (most likely that won't happen ), but it's definitely useful to bring our attention to issues. It's even more useful if the reporter takes the time to scout for similar bug reports and upvotes/comments on an existing bug matching the same issue, as it will help move to the top of the list the most important issues instead of diluting them.

sure, sounds like the bug reports i used to give and still give for specific games. Although i gotta say, I recently was told one of my bug reports was a duplicate because apparently one user had reported a bug in the comments of another bug report of his. I sure couldn't find it with the search function that we currently have (without opening each and every unrelated bug report to have a look if someone added other bugs in there...)

oh, and any thought on this one, then?

Of course it can happen, but should be rare, I suppose it means that's a site bug that had been mistakenly declared as a game bug for 2 different games.

oh, and funny thing: it was exactly this bug that prompted me to ask the question in the first place. After not receiving any answer i just let it at that with adding to the existing report. Glad to hear it DID prompt a message to you.
Just weird that it didn't prompt anyone to reopen the bug then, guess it would've happened later on eventually

Did I mention that we don't always have time to do everything? Especially at this time?

We have fixed what we knew how to fix about this. If it still happens from time to time but rarely, it can take us quite a while to get back to it because of other priorities occurring a lot. The best in this case would be indeed to open another report if it happens again, and see if it gets a lot of upvotes. Then we'll know we have to move it to the top of the priorities list.

Actually I do remember reading this. But I don't think I have seen any other reports about this since then.

Just talking about re-opening a report. That would already help a lot, because right now it isn't even possible to give an upvote to the report.

And, well, during this discussion i tried searching for this report quite some time. It took long to finally hit the right words to find it. That might be a reason why nobody else reports it -- people can't find it. even if they do hit the right words, "fixed" reports are so far down the list that many won't find it even with the correct search term

Every player has the right to take their full thinking time to make a move. Pressure for faster play should be from the clock (via the second suggestion of fast time format) rather than from other players.

Nothing wrong with asking politely, but demanding would be wrong. The problem is that in many games "normal" time is actually pretty generously slow, so you get stuck with slow play if you want reasonable speed, unless you choose to play "fast" which means its harder to get a game sometimes.

Developers can postpone fixing bugs and ignore bug reports for an indefinite time. But that shouldn't impact the practice to log bugs. There is already a "Thumbs up" gauge for bugs, after all, where users can vote which bug they think are most important, so I'd expect that feedback like this is welcome.

have you even looked at the bug report i linked? Nothing is thumb-uppable there.
And no, there are some functions on this site which would help make the site better on which before i did get direct feedback that it's seen as a better thing if i didn't do it. But this has been solved, no need to reiterate the whole conversation
