In the light of this, I will finish my games as best as I can - I have no fight with the other players.

Good bye BGA. Thank you for all the pleasure you have given me in the past.

That's very sad. but also understandable.

The other way to look at this is, don't let them win. Carry on playing on BGA, and write 'Crumbs people' as your signature sign-off or greeting.

This all reminds me of of an Eminem lyric:
You find me offensive? I find you offensive
For finding me offensive

It is NOT in any dictionary labelled an insult.

I've searched high and low for any place where the expression "crumbs is in any way aggressive, vulgar or offensive. It occurs in that sense NOWHERE.

I humbly request to know how this can in any way be deemed insulting.
I found at least 2 sources, without much effort:

1. https://www.thefreedictionary.com/crumb
4. Slang A contemptible, untrustworthy, or loathsome person.
2. https://www.yourdictionary.com/crumb
4. Slang
a worthless, disgusting, or despicable person
also crum′bum·
I've never heard it being used in this way, but apparently interpreting it as an insult is not completely illogical.

He used "crumbs" as an interjection not a noun though.

Anything can be 'interpreted' as an insult.
-
One would expect to be moderated for such common words if there is cause to believe that it was meant to be derogatory. But lacking any such indications shouldn't it be considered to be just that, a common word?
-
It does look like it was considered as such due to the insignificant penalty. Though that makes is quite questionable as to why a penalty was given at all.

My experience on other sites is that once the moderators have their knives in for you (like they clearly have here - e.g. no email notifications of any kind , refusal to even consider my appeal) they WILL make life super unpleasant so that eventually life is so miserable that you will beg to go. They have that power. Best go gracefully.

That is quite an exaggeration. By that reasoning there is no reason not to just permanently ban you outright.

How they work is to get you for a small thing, then hit you again, and give you a worse punishment, then hit you again and ban you. Of course permanent bans are hard to justify, so when you come back there is the next round of punishments.

On another site I saw how moderators refused to provide support to a member until he proved his toe size. The managers joined in the conversation and only added insults.

Yeah, moderators are hard-working, generous people who devote their time to making the world a better place. But it is just not worth being on a site where the moderators have your name down.

You are both saying that they have to justify the ban by taking the necessary steps... while also implying that they can do so without reason...

Your implied allegations by comparing BGA to a troll site is absurd. And please, leave out your sugarcoated sarcasm.

I really believe that they work hard, and that they are under appreciated. No sarcasm intended. But whatever you do, stay out of their bad books. I'm in them, I have nothing to lose, I'm leaving this site as soon as my games are finished.

Thank you for all your hard work moderators. May you be greatly blessed.
