There are a bunch of other use cases that would be solved by such a feature as well: maintaining a backlog of games to be played, grouping by player counts/preferences, etc.
I was thinking this same thing--sort of like folders on your laptop! I'd like to organize them into quick games, games I prefer to play turn-based, etc.

+1 to this

I haven't really played all that many games and I'm already finding it hard to sort through the noise of a long list of favourite games.

It'd be good to be able to create, for example, different favourites for real time / turn based / arena games if at all possible.

I'm sympathetic to this idea, mainly because ever since I joined, there's one game that's pretty much always in my "Based on the games you like, we suggest that you try:" category, and I've played that game in person, and I didn't like it and I'm not playing it again. So it's annoying that I can't just toss it out of the recommendations. In fact, looking at all the recommendations for me now, I've considered all those games, and either watched video tutorials on them or learned them in person, and none of them are particularly enticing to me, so I'd probably remove all of them from the recommended category if given the chance. I suppose the problem is that you eventually play all the currently available games you're interested in, and then only games that you're not interested in are left to accumulate in the recommendations.

But practically speaking, I'm generally okay with filtering by player count and degree of complexity, though I don't understand why "Abstract" is one of the degrees of complexity.
