It is not beneficial to call other people who are trying to help you, "morons". That'll be disadvantageous to you if anything, also insulting people on a public forum is also not very smart, there are moderators here y'know.

Also, your issue with the site, and you're mostly playing games with a lot of luck, Backgammon, Lucky Numbers etc... So, suggesting to play other games ON the same site is related to your problem, and isn't related at all to your Iphone/Android analogy. Because there are 270+ games on this site, you might have just got unlucky and played the popular games that aren't fit for you.

Regardless, in my humble opinion, playing luck-based games, like Backgammon/Lucky Numbers isn't the way to go, because you're bound to be unlucky, or just bad and keep losing all the time. I recommend playing games with low-luck element and try to get better in them. I also get sick of playing games like Can't Stop/Backgammon too, playing other games that reward skill/thinking is fun even if you're losing IMO.

Always losing ain't fun and the luck part doesn't seem random at all. I was here to have some fun spending my time, but the fun is gone and doesn't reappear even if taking some time off.

This also solves the luck-issue as well.

A quick look on your profile reveals that your winrate is 54% in Backgammon and 57% in Lucky Numbers. Not sure what you expect. You won't be able to reach higher winrates in those games against reasonable players unless you play like an engine.

It's just all so depressing....

Outside of polite suggestions to complete your turns since I know you're playing other games (in a nice way), can anyone make other suggestions that may be effective?

I've had many similar feelings -- I absolutely detest the ELO system -- it is irrelevant for many games and more importantly it fundamentally shifts the strategies to games. A good example is hearts -- there is absolutely NO reason, whatsoever, to play for second place, and yet, on this site, people do all the time because they are aiming for ELO. And don't even get me started on Arena mode...I've been a turn away from winning so many times, have a player quit, thus robbing me of shields -- and the worst part is, at least in Arena, you can't even quit when you see a bad reputation as the game is loading...so you are stuck. Honestly, it's only because of the pandemic that I reupped my subscription. If I were to address the issue, I'd have three modes: Arena, Regular ELO, and no ELO (I'm not talking about training mode). It takes forever to get someone to join a training mode game because the site has built competition into game play -- which I get -- AND, with such a broken rating system, it just makes all of it so frustrating at times.

yeah, we might need a non-competitive one, mostly when you just want to do anything you want, and also allow personalised settings that don't exist normally (number of turns or something that could theroicaly, go into infinite value.

Every arena win should be worth something. Arena wins where you literally gain nothing feel like a waste of time. I have quit playing arena on some games when you reach the level where a game versus Bronze means no stars. Please click through and give a thumbs-up if you agree:
