I agree - I've just recently started and already have 3 thumbs down! No idea why except that the site appears to let people be mean just for the hell of it.

Im in the same situation, its frustrating when you start to know people and you try to make new friends.

This should really be easy to fix. A player should have written comment for every thumb down he gives. The comment shoul be in some format (when, which game, why). The player who gets the thumb down would then know, why he got it, and every other player should be able to see this comments. If the comment is nonesense, player who wrote it should get a warning - and after few warnings a ban.

You can also just ignore it. It's hard, I know. I have a red thumb that I don't know where it came from or why, and it kills me, because I want to know why. But in the end it's irrelevant, because a <1% red thumbs is not a big issue.

You can go to their profiles and use the "Report this player" link for these types of incidents. It doesn't help to discuss them in public, I think.

I have many, and a large part is because I was involved in argues with people who don't say hello and good bye. I think it's a right quest (civility) but I assume my red thumbs.


But there is some people, maybe many, who put red thumbs for nothing.

Example: 3 days ago, I played reversi, it was cool, I won, and I got a red thumb. I ask the girl "but why????" She just answered me today: "because you said ok gg at the end, I thought you were sarcasctic about my defeat"..... Imagine, you just say "ok gg" and someone think it's an attack... how can you manage this??

and there is another side effect: when you have many, people think you deserve it, and give you more easily another one (instead of others) for same facts they could reproach to several people. It's a vicious circle


last point: I already got one red because I talked too much, and another because I said nothing except hello and gg... so for exactly opposite reasons...)

Je suis parfaitement d'accord avec toi le Zakhan noir. Je viens de lire les commentaires de ta dernière partie et le pouces rouge que tu as reçu est complètement ridicule.

Moi aussi, je dis toujours " bien joué ou good game" à la fin d'une partie, que je gagne ou que je perdre. la prochaine fois si tu gagnes contre lui, dis lui " Loser " .. (moi je vais en profiter pour le mettre dans ma black liste)

Le système des pouces à priori n'était pas mauvais, mais l'abus brise tout. Je crois qu'un commentaire devrait être obligatoire avec un pouces rouge et que le staff pourrait retirer si le commentaire est abusif. Un peu comme le fait EBAY avec leurs feedback

For the players that PAY to be on this site and to have no GOOD REASON to thumbs down a player is ridiculous.

I have 16 thumbs up and 5 down?!?? WTH?

I joke a lot during games, I guess people (French) don't like American humor...

I'm NOT paying until this crap is fixed...Maybe only give thumbs up and get rid of the Thumbs down one.
