Hope it goes well but I'm going to skip, that still seems far too tight, effectively 7 days per game. I don't mind games being decided on time but I like there to be at least a realistic chance of players finishing their game if they play reasonably promptly without them having to find a solid bit of time to sit down and play as it if is not a turn based.

What are the victory conditions of the Main Event 1939-1940 scenario? I'm not able to find that scenario in the official Playbook, and the scenario description doesn't tell me.

Oh, I hadn't looked closely enough to realise that. I thought it was USSR 41 since that was what had been most popular in the vote. I understood it to be a training scenario, roughly equivalent to the combine all three suggestion the playbook makes if you play the three training scenarios but substitute France 40 for Balkans 41.

this scenario has already been played, so I took the second proposition, which also corresponds to a suggestion from lunalol. Moreover, it is not too long.

Look at: 30.1.2.4 Training Scenario Four (page 3-4)

Ah, okay, thanks.

The Axis faction wins if by the end of Dec-40, it achieves all of the following. Otherwise, the Western faction wins.
  •  Poland and four other countries [except France] are conquered.
 Either France is conquered or the UK has collapsed.
 There is at least one other active Axis country besides Germany.
And then presumably there will be a tiebreaker on National Will totals. Interesting setup! Seems like a lot of potential for the Axis player to run amok with the lack of a Soviet faction (outside of politics).

I tried to register for the new tournament, but do not have enough ELO. Can someone please invite me?

I have not yet played through the Main Event 1939 - 1940 scenario, so I wanted to ask about how the victory conditions are coded. Is it like the France 1940 scenario, where the Axis wins as soon as France is conquered? Or, is it like the USSR 1941 scenario, where the game is played all the way to the victory phase of the January 1941 turn?

My preference would be that if this particular scenario is going to be used for a tournament (I think it's a sub-optimal pick), where National Will totals are likely going to be the deciding factor, then it should be treated like the USSR 1941 scenario where the players play until the end. Otherwise, I would expect to see players letting France barely survive with just 1 National Will until the very last turn so they have the best chance to gain Axis allies and improve their National Will total.

If the tie-breaker conditions were changed to have speed of victory be a first consideration, and then consider National Will totals, then that might produce fairer play.

Unfortunately, the invitation did not allow me to join. I still get the ELO restriction. Who should I ask to allow me in?
