Anywhere from 1 to 3.

Assume that you have only integers to work with when measuring items with non-integer values. Something with a true value of 0.6 would be measured as a 1. Two of these items together would have a true value of 1.2, which would still be measured as a 1. Two objects of true value 1.4 would be measured as 1s, with a combined true value of 2.8, measured as a 3.

There is a big difference in scientific papers between 1 and 1.0.
