Some games work well turn based. Coup isn't one. Even taking aside the fact that one move requires the approval of everyone else. Coup games are 15 minutes tops why would anyone want to drag that out over months? Also making it turn based eliminates half the games fun, it's not a long think of every possible hand each person has, it's a quick make your move any try to work out your opponents by what they play, when and how quickly or slowly.

Is the problem that people want to play turn based, or the lack of sign ups for real time? No one wants to sign up to a real time and wait several hours to see whether enough people join to start it, nor risk playing something else or going elsewhere and not being aware of a game starting.
It's a pity you can't schedule a start time so that people can join knowing they need to be online and available at that time.

I have been trying to play Coup on BGA for literally months. Not once has it ever worked. While I do understand why it's real-time only, it also basically means that it's practically impossible to get a game going as it is right now. Let's be honest - Coup isn't exactly super popular to begin with and not a bunch of people seeks to play it at the same time.
