Are cheatsheets cheating?

If it's used during the game it's definitely cheating in my opinion.

In my opinion there should be no external aides used whatsoever in the game. The only exception is if all players agree to the aide before the game starts and also have an identical copy of it. Or unless it's an official BGA extension. Just my 2 cents worth. But you can extensively study the guide and game. Like studying for an exam. Just as long as you don't use anything in the game or 'exam'.

I've wondered about something similar to this for a while. Games like Castle Combo, where you have to guess at the likelihood of what's left in the deck. If I had a sheet that listed all the card types, would that be cheating? To me, that's about memory. I found a post somewhere that listed all the cards in the deck and likelihood of drawing them. I didn't save it because I thought it would be cheating. However, if we're relying purely on just memory, is a reference sheet cheating? Some of us have deteriorating memories due to age.
