Did they say upcoming? There already is an app linked on the publisher's website, i has been there for a while.

If you didn't play it when it was non-Alpha, you won't be able to play it now. Only players who had already played it have access to it now.

But anyway, is there any movement on this? It's been in alpha for many months now, is it ever coming back?

You can ask them if they are willing to do so, if we are enough to ask they might accept to bring it
