I like butterfly which when played 2 player has very little luck. I got to ELO 600 which you can't do in luck based games!

Yes, but it combine skill and popularity.

(Many are abstract two-person games, but not all. IME socialness varies wildly with the players. I'm fond of Patchwork and Strands, among others, and would like to play more Caylus and Terra Mystica.)
I like this list and just joined the group!

Unfortunately the list also contained some errors, for example City of the Big Shoulders does have some post-setup randomness (you draw new tiles and demand cards every turn).

The BGA page gives checkers a 1 for its luck rating tho

Is that wrong? I haven't played Checkers in ages.

It should be 0 instead of 1

As far as I know, there are no rules or guidelines about what the "complexity", "strategy", "luck" and "interaction" ratings even mean, let alone how the numbers should be set. Maybe the person who set the rating (the developer?) interpreted that there is luck involved in choosing which player goes first, or in whom you play against.

So people have been asking for this for years. Surprising this only has 20 something votes.
