Just created my first game of Through the ages yesterday. Looks like a really good game, but it is unplayable with the blurry text on the cards. Anyone knows a solution or workaround for this? I only play on my tablet or smartphone, never on PC. Thanks for the tips.

It's always been blurry for me on small screen devices. On my Android phone I just long hold on the card and it shows a zoomed in, high res image.

This needs to be fixed ASAP. Card text on a IPad on Chrome and Safari is unreadable and iPhone is unusable. This makes enjoying the game very difficult.

Are you able to take a screenshot?

What model iphone?

Without this information it will be very hard for a developer to reproduce.

Thanks. I reproduced it on desktop with mobile simulation. The problem seems to be the game is detecting something and forcing low-resolution cards: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... 09&t=29597

It should be possible provide a user preference for large cards in all cases (instead of low resolution cards on mobile). I do not know if the developer is still active, however.

Just tried on my Mac (way too small to play on my iPhone) with Safari and Chrome (both latest) and it is utterly unreadable and blurry. Even the "crisp" cards that someone linked to are still not high quality scans. Other games have extremely high quality scans of their cards that far surpass what is in TTA.

I am wondering if, when originally obtaining to media assets, they were compressed a little too much or using a filter that diffused the text. Perhaps a return to the originals and a rescan using something more modern (PNG instead of a lossy JPG) might be in order.

I just started a new game, and frankly consider it unplayable with the cards as they are.

This is just another issue that BGA does not fix. :( It's been like this for two years now. For other games, such as Keyflower, we wait for a bugfix (the game does not continue loading on android at 10% loading screen) for more than five years already. Uff.
