One more point got from the today's game: when tie, in the rule the last player put the tile won, this rule gives the last player some adv after the even turn applied, just want to share this.
Agree with the change applied for even turn (since the first player got too much adv in first finish rule), just want to raise up this finding to give some feedback.

Is this an official update of the rules by the game author / publisher of the original board game? Or is it just a variant here at BGA?

that's right

Suggestion to cancel "last to play advantage" : when two or more players cross the line, the winner is the one that goes furthest.

That will not solve everything : new ties will occur (two or more players with the same number of points) that I do not how how to resolve, but i am sure that some here will have good ideas to overcome this new problem.

Or you can decide that the tie is not solved and that the game effectively finishes with a tie (the ELO system knows how to update ELOs in that case for other games)
